On 10 December we celebrate the Human Rights Day, as well as the last day of the SayNO - UNiTE to End Violence Against Women 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign. This year’s campaign might have come to an end, but the journey of fighting for women’s rights has not. We have yet a long road ahead of us to grant protection and security to all women and girls worldwide, and ensure a life free of violence.
Fighting for women’s rights must concern all people of all generations! Therefore, we have decided to ask a couple of 16 to 23 year olds to film themselves, and to let us know:
“What does feminism mean to YOU?” and “How can YOU contribute to ending VAW?”
Check out this inspiring Step Up Campaign video, and share it in solidarity.
We would like to thank all of your video participants, as well as all the participants of the 16 days of Activism campaign worldwide.
Thank you for spreading awareness on the ubiquity of gender-based violence.
Thank you for highlighting the importance of providing justice and access to all women and girls.
Thank you for putting the emphasis on the fact that women’s rights are humans rights!
