16 October 2017 – 13:00-14:00 (CET) Legal tools used for implementing the Istanbul Convention
The following webinar will explore practical ways of how the Istanbul Convention (IC) can be effectively implemented on country level and identify concrete legal tools which are useful in this process. The core aim is to highlight how the IC offers a solid and legitimate framework to non-governmental organisations as well as legal practitioners, which enables them to fight violence against women more effectively. This seminar will also explore a number of good practice examples of how and where the IC has already been effectively implemented, and dispel some popular myths related to its application. Anca Ciupa, WAVE membership & Network Coordinator, will be leading this webinar.
