WAVE COUNTRY REPORT 2009

This year's report is once again presenting a collection of data gathered from WAVE members in all of Europe. It is especially concerned with the situation of migrant women affected by domestic violence.  >>

GENDERWORKS - POVERTY & VAW

In 2008-09 three European partner organiza- tions Oxfam GB (UK), Lamoro (Italy) and WAVE (Austria) will carry out together a PROGRESS project funded by the European comission: „GenderWorks: Mainstreaming and Communicating Gender Equality in Anti Poverty and Inclusion Strategies“.  >>

It is a first attempt to reveal the situation on European women services for women survivors of domestic violence and their children from NGO perspective. The realization of this report was only possible with the help ogf WEAVE's focal points and so we would like to thank them for sharing their knowledge and providing data about women services in their countries.  >>

MANUAL BRIDGING GAPS - FROM GOOD INTENTION TO GOOD COOPERATION

The aim of the project was to develop guidelines and standards for good cooperation between state agancies and women's NGOs. The manual is based on the contributions of "bridging gaps" project partners from 11 European countries and draws upon the work and experiences of many committed experts and academics in the field.  >>

IMPROVE - Quality Services for Victims Safety

The project aims to improve services and offers for victims of domestic violence by training and exchange of best practices in establishing and organization of women's shelters.  >>


AWAY FROM VIOLENCE

“Away from Violence” sets out first and foremost to address the practical issues involved for women who establish, organise, run and work in a refuge, although the publication also deals briefly with the specific theoretical background to violence against women.  >>

MORE THAN A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD

A Survey of Quality Standards in European Women's Refugees (2002).
The study focuses on those eleven minimum standards for women's shelters which were defined by a group of experts at the Cologne conference in March 1999. Our principal concern was to ascertain whether the women's shelters in the EU and candidate countries already complied with these standards.  >>

PREVENTION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

European Survey, Good Practice Models, WAVE Training Programme (2000)
The present brochure deals with preventive measures which have been taken in Europe to combat male violence against women in intimate relationships. It surveys the status of prevention efforts in the EU Member States and in the candidate countries and reviews good practice models.  >>
